# Amnesia vs CUSTOM CAST

The clearest difference is rating: Amnesia at 4.2 against CUSTOM CAST's 3.4. Amnesia also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). CUSTOM CAST's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (4K vs 116). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Amnesia sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and CUSTOM CAST sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Amnesia holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CUSTOM CAST has 4K ratings behind it against 116, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 48% and 48% positive.

Amnesia ships an update every 14 months, CUSTOM CAST every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
