# GeoConnect vs Placeful

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GeoConnect at 95% against Placeful's 40%. GeoConnect also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (40 vs 3). Placeful's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GeoConnect holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GeoConnect has 40 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 95% of GeoConnect's written reviews are positive against 40% of Placeful's.

GeoConnect ships an update every 3 months, Placeful every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
