# GeoConnect vs buzz

The clearest difference is update cadence: buzz at daily against GeoConnect's every 3 months. buzz also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6). GeoConnect's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

buzz holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 40 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of GeoConnect's written reviews are positive against 92% of buzz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GeoConnect ships an update every 3 months, buzz daily. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
