# GeoConnect vs Joyfolks

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GeoConnect at none against Joyfolks's 3. GeoConnect also leads on ratings volume (40 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). Joyfolks's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Joyfolks sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. GeoConnect asks for nothing beyond the download.

Joyfolks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GeoConnect has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GeoConnect ships an update every 3 months, Joyfolks every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
