# Terminal Buddy vs Flight Board

The clearest difference is ads: Terminal Buddy at none against Flight Board's shown. Terminal Buddy also leads on review sentiment (65% vs 32%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Flight Board's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (2K vs 127). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Terminal Buddy sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year and Flight Board sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.79 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flight Board holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Board has 2K ratings behind it against 127, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Terminal Buddy's written reviews are positive against 32% of Flight Board's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Terminal Buddy ships an update every 7 months, Flight Board every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
