# Faxbot vs CoreFiles

The clearest difference is update cadence: CoreFiles at every 2 weeks against Faxbot's every 8 months. CoreFiles also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Faxbot sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CoreFiles sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Faxbot ships an update every 8 months, CoreFiles every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
