# Instant Selfie HD vs selfer

The clearest difference is update cadence: selfer at monthly against Instant Selfie HD's every 5 months. Instant Selfie HD's advantage is iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Instant Selfie HD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and selfer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Instant Selfie HD ships an update every 5 months, selfer monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
