# QuickNotes X vs Blankbook

The clearest difference is update cadence: Blankbook at every 4 days against QuickNotes X's every 5 weeks. Blankbook also leads on review sentiment (55% vs 38%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). QuickNotes X's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (3.8K vs 129). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickNotes X sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months and Blankbook sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QuickNotes X holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QuickNotes X has 3.8K ratings behind it against 129, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of QuickNotes X's written reviews are positive against 55% of Blankbook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

QuickNotes X ships an update every 5 weeks, Blankbook every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
