# QuickNotes X vs Math Notes

The clearest difference is rating: QuickNotes X at 4.3 against Math Notes's 3.6. QuickNotes X also leads on review sentiment (38% vs 0%) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Math Notes's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Both are free to download. QuickNotes X sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months and Math Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
