# QuickNotes X vs Notes

The clearest difference is rating: QuickNotes X at 4.3 against Notes's 2.3. QuickNotes X also leads on review sentiment (38% vs 0%) and ratings volume (3.8K vs 3). Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickNotes X sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months and Notes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QuickNotes X has 3.8K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
