# Fly Plane vs Sea

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sea at none against Fly Plane's 1. Sea also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (56% vs 32%). Fly Plane's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 1.1K). On price, rating, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fly Plane sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Sea asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sea holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fly Plane has 13K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 32% of Fly Plane's written reviews are positive against 56% of Sea's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
