# Raindrop.io vs Sofa

The clearest difference is rating: Sofa at 4.7 against Raindrop.io's 4.5. Sofa also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (3.1K vs 423). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Raindrop.io sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Sofa sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sofa holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sofa has 3.1K ratings behind it against 423, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Raindrop.io's written reviews are positive against 60% of Sofa's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Raindrop.io ships an update every 3 weeks, Sofa weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
