# SNOW vs Real Camera

The clearest difference is rating: SNOW at 4.6 against Real Camera's 3.0. SNOW also leads on ratings volume (37K vs 2) and chart position (#105 vs unranked). Real Camera's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 56%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SNOW sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Real Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SNOW holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SNOW has 37K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of SNOW's written reviews are positive against 73% of Real Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SNOW ships an update weekly, Real Camera every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
