# NC State Wolfpack vs HGMS Athletics

The clearest difference is review sentiment: HGMS Athletics at 100% against NC State Wolfpack's 48%. HGMS Athletics also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). NC State Wolfpack's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (341 vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NC State Wolfpack holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NC State Wolfpack has 341 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of NC State Wolfpack's written reviews are positive against 100% of HGMS Athletics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NC State Wolfpack ships an update every 4 months, HGMS Athletics every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
