# Slideshow Maker (SlidePlus) vs Flixcribir

The clearest difference is monetization model: Slideshow Maker (SlidePlus) at free with in-app purchases against Flixcribir's subscription. Slideshow Maker (SlidePlus) also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 96). Flixcribir's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slideshow Maker (SlidePlus) sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and Flixcribir sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Slideshow Maker (SlidePlus) holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slideshow Maker (SlidePlus) has 2.4K ratings behind it against 96, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Slideshow Maker (SlidePlus)'s written reviews are positive against 69% of Flixcribir's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Slideshow Maker (SlidePlus) ships an update every 6 weeks, Flixcribir weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
