# Freedcamp vs Tasks

The clearest difference is rating: Tasks at 4.4 against Freedcamp's 2.8. Tasks also leads on review sentiment (57% vs 26%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). Freedcamp's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tasks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Freedcamp asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tasks holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tasks has 54 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 26% of Freedcamp's written reviews are positive against 57% of Tasks's.

Freedcamp ships an update every 2 months, Tasks every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
