# This Week vs Schichter

The clearest difference is price: This Week at Free against Schichter's $5.99. This Week also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (12 vs 4). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

This Week is free to download; Schichter costs $5.99 up front. This Week sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Schichter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

This Week holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of This Week's written reviews are positive against 92% of Schichter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

This Week ships an update every 3 weeks, Schichter every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
