# MyPatch vs Ring

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ring at 87% against MyPatch's 29%. Ring also leads on ratings volume (31 vs 1) and chart position (#191 vs unranked). MyPatch's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ring sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. MyPatch asks for nothing beyond the download.

MyPatch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ring has 31 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of MyPatch's written reviews are positive against 87% of Ring's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyPatch ships an update every 9 days, Ring every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
