# Cool Multi Timer vs Timer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Cool Multi Timer at none against Timer's 1. Cool Multi Timer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (64% vs 50%). Timer's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cool Multi Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timer has 29 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Cool Multi Timer's written reviews are positive against 50% of Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cool Multi Timer ships an update every 6 months, Timer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
