# Dragon Anywhere vs Alrite

The clearest difference is rating: Alrite at 5.0 against Dragon Anywhere's 2.6. Alrite also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Dragon Anywhere's advantage is ratings volume (726 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dragon Anywhere sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Alrite sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Alrite holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dragon Anywhere has 726 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Dragon Anywhere ships an update every 3 months, Alrite monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
