# Josh vs Neuto

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Josh at none against Neuto's 3. Josh also leads on ratings volume (115 vs 6). Neuto's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neuto sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Josh asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Josh against 4.8 for Neuto. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Josh has 115 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 87% of Josh's written reviews are positive against 100% of Neuto's.

Josh ships an update weekly, Neuto every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
