# Hooked vs Thrill

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Thrill at 64% against Hooked's 24%. Thrill also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 26.0). Hooked's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (14K vs 468). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hooked sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Thrill sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Thrill holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hooked has 14K ratings behind it against 468, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 24% of Hooked's written reviews are positive against 64% of Thrill's.

Hooked ships an update every 5 days, Thrill every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
