# Hooked vs Novelink

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Novelink at 65% against Hooked's 24%. Novelink also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). Hooked's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and chart position there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hooked sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Novelink sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Novelink holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14K and 7K respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 24% of Hooked's written reviews are positive against 65% of Novelink's.

Hooked ships an update every 5 days, Novelink every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
