# Echo360 vs VetPrep

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Echo360 at none against VetPrep's 1. Echo360 also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months) and rating (3.5 vs 3.3). VetPrep's advantage is review sentiment (46% vs 15%) and ratings volume (29 vs 2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VetPrep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Echo360 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Echo360 holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VetPrep has 29 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Echo360's written reviews are positive against 46% of VetPrep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Echo360 ships an update monthly, VetPrep every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
