# Whale Notes vs English Everywhere V2

The clearest difference is review sentiment: English Everywhere V2 at 100% against Whale Notes's 50%. English Everywhere V2 also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). Whale Notes's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (34 vs 1). Both are free to download. Whale Notes sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 3 months. English Everywhere V2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Whale Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whale Notes has 34 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Whale Notes's written reviews are positive against 100% of English Everywhere V2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
