# Ghost Hunting Tools vs AR Spirits Box

The clearest difference is update cadence: AR Spirits Box at every 5 days against Ghost Hunting Tools's every 4 weeks. AR Spirits Box also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Ghost Hunting Tools's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 47%) and ratings volume (11K vs 2.2K). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost Hunting Tools sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and AR Spirits Box sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AR Spirits Box holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11K and 2.2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Ghost Hunting Tools's written reviews are positive against 47% of AR Spirits Box's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ghost Hunting Tools ships an update every 4 weeks, AR Spirits Box every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
