# Ghost Hunting Tools vs Ghost detector

The clearest difference is rating: Ghost Hunting Tools at 4.2 against Ghost detector's 3.0. Ghost Hunting Tools also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 2). Ghost detector's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost Hunting Tools sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Ghost detector sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ghost Hunting Tools holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost Hunting Tools has 11K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Ghost Hunting Tools's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ghost detector's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ghost Hunting Tools ships an update every 4 weeks, Ghost detector weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
