# Vimtag vs Ebitcam

The clearest difference is rating: Ebitcam at 3.3 against Vimtag's 2.2. Ebitcam also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Vimtag's advantage is ratings volume (382 vs 32) and chart position (#193 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vimtag sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Ebitcam sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ebitcam holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vimtag has 382 ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Vimtag's written reviews are positive against 12% of Ebitcam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
