# Vimtag vs VPhoto

The clearest difference is rating: VPhoto at 4.4 against Vimtag's 2.2. VPhoto also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and review sentiment (48% vs 20%). Vimtag's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vimtag sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and VPhoto sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPhoto holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPhoto has 6.2K ratings behind it against 382, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Vimtag's written reviews are positive against 48% of VPhoto's.

Vimtag ships an update every 5 weeks, VPhoto every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
