# HUD Widgets vs Virtual Dashboard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Virtual Dashboard at 100% against HUD Widgets's 55%. Virtual Dashboard also leads on rating (4.4 vs 3.5). HUD Widgets's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (109 vs 11). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HUD Widgets sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Virtual Dashboard sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Virtual Dashboard holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HUD Widgets has 109 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of HUD Widgets's written reviews are positive against 100% of Virtual Dashboard's.

HUD Widgets ships an update every 2 months, Virtual Dashboard every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
