# HUD Widgets vs Airplane HUD

HUD Widgets and Airplane HUD both sit at 3.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 55% of HUD Widgets's written reviews are positive against 0% of Airplane HUD's. HUD Widgets also leads on ratings volume (109 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Airplane HUD's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HUD Widgets sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Airplane HUD asks for nothing beyond the download.

Airplane HUD holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HUD Widgets has 109 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of HUD Widgets's written reviews are positive against 0% of Airplane HUD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HUD Widgets ships an update every 2 months, Airplane HUD every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
