# JennAir vs Gecko

The clearest difference is rating: JennAir at 4.2 against Gecko's 2.0. JennAir also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 55). Gecko's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

JennAir holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JennAir has 2.3K ratings behind it against 55, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 11% of JennAir's written reviews are positive against 10% of Gecko's.

JennAir ships an update every 2 months, Gecko every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
