# JennAir vs MyMTL

The clearest difference is rating: MyMTL at 4.5 against JennAir's 4.2. MyMTL also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). JennAir's advantage is ratings volume (2.3K vs 72) and review sentiment (11% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyMTL holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JennAir has 2.3K ratings behind it against 72, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of JennAir's written reviews are positive against 0% of MyMTL's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

JennAir ships an update every 2 months, MyMTL every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
