# SecureMyEmail vs Fabius

The clearest difference is rating: Fabius at 5.0 against SecureMyEmail's 3.5. Fabius also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). SecureMyEmail's advantage is ratings volume (39 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SecureMyEmail sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Fabius sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fabius holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SecureMyEmail has 39 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SecureMyEmail ships an update every 2 months, Fabius every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
