# Draw vs Write on Screen

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Draw at 50% against Write on Screen's 0%. Draw also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (23 vs 1). Write on Screen's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Write on Screen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Draw asks for nothing beyond the download.

Write on Screen holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Draw has 23 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Draw's written reviews are positive against 0% of Write on Screen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Draw ships an update every 17 months, Write on Screen every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
