# Randstad RiseSmart vs Surge9 AI

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Surge9 AI at 100% against Randstad RiseSmart's 15%. Randstad RiseSmart's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (569 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Randstad RiseSmart holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Randstad RiseSmart has 569 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Randstad RiseSmart's written reviews are positive against 100% of Surge9 AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Randstad RiseSmart ships an update every 2 weeks, Surge9 AI fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
