# Sugun vs Octo Chat

The clearest difference is update cadence: Octo Chat at every 7 months against Sugun's every 20 months. Sugun's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sugun sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Octo Chat sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $20.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
