# Widget vs Checklist Widget

The clearest difference is ads: Checklist Widget at none against Widget's shown. Checklist Widget also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (94% vs 72%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widget sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Checklist Widget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Widget against 4.7 for Checklist Widget. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Checklist Widget has 339 ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of Widget's written reviews are positive against 94% of Checklist Widget's.

Widget ships an update every 3 months, Checklist Widget every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
