# EJTV vs FanBolt

The clearest difference is ads: EJTV at none against FanBolt's shown. EJTV also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (40 vs 3). FanBolt's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FanBolt holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EJTV has 40 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EJTV ships an update every 2 months, FanBolt every 8 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
