# Send Safe Message vs ChatPrivate

The clearest difference is rating: Send Safe Message at 4.0 against ChatPrivate's 3.0. Send Safe Message also leads on ratings volume (97 vs 6). ChatPrivate's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (95% vs 64%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Send Safe Message sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ChatPrivate sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $20.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Send Safe Message holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Send Safe Message has 97 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Send Safe Message's written reviews are positive against 95% of ChatPrivate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Send Safe Message ships an update every 8 months, ChatPrivate every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
