# Send Safe Message vs iSecure

The clearest difference is rating: iSecure at 5.0 against Send Safe Message's 4.0. iSecure also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 8 months). Send Safe Message's advantage is ratings volume (97 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Send Safe Message sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and iSecure sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iSecure holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Send Safe Message has 97 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Send Safe Message ships an update every 8 months, iSecure every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
