# DMV Driver License Permit Test vs DMV

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DMV Driver License Permit Test at none against DMV's 7. DMV's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (31K vs 3.6K). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DMV sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. DMV Driver License Permit Test asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for DMV Driver License Permit Test against 4.7 for DMV. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DMV has 31K ratings behind it against 3.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of DMV Driver License Permit Test's written reviews are positive against 83% of DMV's.

DMV Driver License Permit Test ships an update every 4 months, DMV fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
