# Tournament Edition vs Tournament

The clearest difference is rating: Tournament at 3.8 against Tournament Edition's 3.4. Tournament also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (309 vs 8). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tournament Edition sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Tournament sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tournament holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tournament has 309 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Tournament Edition's written reviews are positive against 19% of Tournament's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tournament Edition ships an update every 6 weeks, Tournament every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
