# Ellis Island Visitor Guide vs Visit Trinity

The clearest difference is rating: Ellis Island Visitor Guide at 3.3 against Visit Trinity's 2.4. Visit Trinity's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ellis Island Visitor Guide sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Visit Trinity sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ellis Island Visitor Guide holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Visit Trinity has 52 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Ellis Island Visitor Guide's written reviews are positive against 23% of Visit Trinity's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ellis Island Visitor Guide ships an update every 3 months, Visit Trinity every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
