# Penji vs OhloneAR

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Penji at 1.2K against OhloneAR's 8. Penji also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Penji against 5.0 for OhloneAR. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Penji has 1.2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of Penji's written reviews are positive against 100% of OhloneAR's.

Penji ships an update every 10 days, OhloneAR monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
