# E vs DCC Commander

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DCC Commander at 100% against E's 53%. DCC Commander also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). E's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. E sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DCC Commander sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

E ships an update every 6 weeks, DCC Commander every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
