# hocus. vs .projekt

The clearest difference is rating: .projekt at 4.8 against hocus.'s 4.3. .projekt also leads on ratings volume (4.3K vs 234). hocus.'s advantage is chart position (#117 vs unranked) and review sentiment (87% vs 78%). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

hocus. costs $1.99 and .projekt $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

.projekt holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: .projekt has 4.3K ratings behind it against 234, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of hocus.'s written reviews are positive against 78% of .projekt's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

hocus. ships an update every 5 weeks, .projekt every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
