# Fallen Sword vs Roaming Rover

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Roaming Rover at 100% against Fallen Sword's 48%. Roaming Rover also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Fallen Sword's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.0) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fallen Sword sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Roaming Rover asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fallen Sword holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fallen Sword has 72 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Fallen Sword's written reviews are positive against 100% of Roaming Rover's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fallen Sword ships an update monthly, Roaming Rover every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
