# Winmail Viewer vs txt Editor

The clearest difference is rating: txt Editor at 5.0 against Winmail Viewer's 2.0. Winmail Viewer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Winmail Viewer sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and txt Editor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

txt Editor holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 25% and 25% positive.
