# Hightail vs Pantera Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: Hightail at 4.1 against Pantera Mobile's 3.1. Hightail also leads on ratings volume (648 vs 42). Pantera Mobile's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (31% vs 13%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hightail sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Pantera Mobile asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hightail holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hightail has 648 ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Hightail's written reviews are positive against 31% of Pantera Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hightail ships an update every 3 months, Pantera Mobile every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
